Some have it worse. Toofan Mail was a superfast train connecting Delhi to Howrah once. Then it became the second SLOWEST on the route and cancelled last year, I think.
Heard the name, Toofan Mail. Why cancelled? Temporary or permanently?
It was a fast passenger basically that had lots of stops. It went via a longish route taking Agra instead of routing via Tundla for Delhi. It was the second slowest train on DLI-HWH after Upper India Express[ which too has been cancelled].
Both of these trains haven't been restored since the pandemic and there is little hope as of yet since no date has been given. Considering new trains are constraining the already strained limits of this section, I doubt IR cares much about this train.

Upper India too has been I guess. I travelled in it once b/w Sealdah - BSB and boy, the whole SL coach got emptied at Bhagalpur/Jamalpur. Then UR pax filled the coaches and they too left it at PNBE. I think I was the only one doing end to end journey on that train. Inspite of starting late from Sealdah, it reached an empty Varanasi station only an hour late thanks to slack time. Ironic that a century old train serving literally most passengers on the line has been cancelled.
