One of those blessings of a route diverted journey; 12346 Guwahathi - Howrah Saraighat Express crossed the Brahmaputra River on the Saraighat Bridge.
In a trip to the north east parts of India, I had visited Guwahathi. And while returning, I had booked myself a ticket on board the Saraighat Express to New Jalpaiguri Jn. I had reached Guwahathi the previous day on board the 20504 Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express via Rangiya Jn. There are two lines to approach Guwahathi from New Bongaigaon Jn., one via Rangiya and the other via Goalpara Town,...

In hopes of covering both routes, I had booked on Saraighat Express, this train goes via Goalpara Town, even though it has a non stop run from Kamakhya Jn. to New Bongaigaon Jn. But on the day of my journey, I checked out my retiring room, and walked down to the platform to find out that the incoming Saraighat Express was running very late. It had arrived 2 hrs late.
And I found out quite later that the reason of the delay was that, it was diverted via Rangiya Jn. And would take the same route even in the return direction. My hopes of seeing the Goalpara Town route was shattered. It would be done on another day. But quite pleasantly, this meant that the Saraighat Express would cross the Brahmaputra river in its namesake bridge - the SARAIGHAT Bridge.
And thus, this idea for this video had come out.
