This is the most failure in VB trains. Just only 10-20% of seats are booking.
Most successful VB trains are
(1). Gandhinagar - CSMT.
(2). NDLS - SVDK.
(3). NDLS - BSB.
(4)....

MAS - MYS(MAS-SBC bookings are good but MYS-SBC bookings are worst).

Most failure VB trains are
(1). NGP-BSP(only 10-20% seats are booking).
(2). NDLS-Amb Anduara(NDLS-Chandigarh 70-80% bookings are there but Chandigarh - Amb andhra has worst bookings. Similarly SBC-MYS bookings).

But EC coach bookings are good in all VB trains.

Great
Patronage will be really good since it serves a great route.
Saharanpur can be skipped if needed once Deoband-Roorkee line gets built.
Or to skip the reversal train can go through Tapri. But i guess reversal is not an issue with VB so Saharanpur is fine.

Reversal won't be an issue at all... it's VB... so 5mins or 10mins max is more than sufficient for reversal.... 5mins for patronage to de-board or board and the loco guards to go from 1 end to the other end....

Shatabdi and Janshatabdi are a hit on this route.
Currently, Nanda Devi Express is fastest on this route. VB can overtake it to be the fastest on this route plus adding saharanpur will only increase the patronage.

If its 40-60% then Respective Zones should review the TT. That train will be on probation and will run as a special Train . If it still doesn't pick up occupancy ...it will be straightaway cancelled


For occupancy below 40% the train will be straightaway cancelled.


The above will not be applicable for trains which assume some importance viz strategic connect or connect as the only mode of travel etc.
