A very special thanks to officials of els erode for accepting my suggested name Siruvani and christened...
more... to their 75th WAP7 locomotive.
Hands of SR Railfans and Electric Loco Shed Erode officials come together to unveil yet another feather in the cap, the latest Prancing Deer, ED ELS' 75th WAP7 - christened on (19.05.2023) as SIRUVANI
The two hands that make a cheering clap, conveying boundless happiness, success, and dedicating another beautiful Tamil Nadu river's name to this locomotive, was possible with the seamless planning for the loco's duties and schedules by ED/ELS' Sr. DEE, and the efforts of railfans that all the officials of ED/ELS welcome and involve in their important occasions. 75th loco was flagged off by Retired employees of ELS / Erode that was a great gesture by officials.
Like rivers perennially flowing through landscapes of all kinds, Indian Railway has a brilliant network, that is made navigable by powerful locomotives.
Electric Loco Shed Erode now has in its fleet, three named WAP7 locomotives, Cauvery, Bhavani and Siruvani, all named after rivers of the beautiful town. Coincidentally, the naming of these locomotives although years apart, happened in the exact order of their tributary origin from Cauvery river.
