VB trains are the pet project of the PM, of-course they will be run on-time. Let the novelty die out, then we can see how much priority they actually get.
Coming to your points when trains are handed over to SECR by SER/CR the delay is around 20-25 mins, a delay that can be easily mitigated by slacks, instead delays worth hours is piled upon the train. Had SECR been competent, which was the case a few years ago, the delay would have been nullified or at best carried over to CR/SER. Instead we get what is actually the travesty of controlling !

more... please spare me the freight issue, SER isn't the only zone loaded with freights. Rather SECR already has infrastructure to be able to handle the loads to some extent. Most of the main SER line is actually tripled and on the way to be quadrupled. The real reason is that babus in SECR simply don't care about passenger trains and delay them with impunity...

Jaise hi trains SER/CR se SECR ko di jaati hain, 20-25 min ka delay hota hai, jise slack se easily compensate kiya jaa sakta hai, par train par ghanton ka delay lag jaata hai. Agar SECR competent hota, jaise ki kuch saal pehle tha, toh delay zero hota ya CR/SER tak hi hota. Instead, controlling ka actual tabahi hota hai!
Aur please freight ka issue mat uthao, SER hi zone nahi hai jo freight se bhara hua hai. Balki SECR ko infra handle karne ke liye already hai. SER ki zyadatar main route actually tripled aur ab quadrupled hone ja rahi hai. Asli wajah yeh hai ki SECR ke babus passenger trains ko importance nahi dete aur unhe delay karte hain jo unki marzi hai.
