TRAIL RUNNING NEXT MOUNTH CHANDIGARH JAIPUR /AJMER VANDE BHARAT . 3rd train for haryana given . after trail sucessfull .so start form near diwali . start form chandigarh via ambala kurukshetra kaithal jind junction rohtak rewari alwar jaipur. fulled ac and 583 km in 7 hours .

Don't trust the papers ... VB will follow a straighter route .. the zig zag route is slow and has less potential..

Railway and near by states has spend huge investments on developing rail network around delhi only to bypass crowded delhi region and stations
RE-ROK , PNP-Merrut (UC), Rail cooridiror around Delhi are all part of Railway policy to avoid trains to delhi - its new thing , so its suppose to get some critcisim...

IR has basically planned it to divert freight traffic . why would railway avoid passengers or crowd .. They would like to earn more money from them.. its an opportunity ..
A zig Zag slower route would only discourage people of Chandigarh and Jaipur to board this train...
if railways can't run it through Delhi then it would be better to run it through PNP-ROK line.

I have no clue, Panipat is not an important station for Delhi division.
For Delhi division only stations falling under Delhi region like ANVT, HNZM, DEE, DEC, NDLS and Delhi Jn. are important. Rest none of them matters which fall under Haryana or West UP.
Although initial reporrs suggested that it will be via PNP-ROK-RE or MTJ-BTE. off late the news has died down. Ab toh political route nikal ke aayega most likely. Between UMB-PNP Railways get non stop 130 MPS section, still is the most logical route if VB has to avoid...
