The extensive Vande Bharat initiative has significantly slowed down the conversion of trains to LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) coaches. This delay poses a severe risk to the lives of thousands of passengers, as the deteriorating condition of old ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches continues to worsen. Even prestigious trains like the Kalka Mail have yet to be upgraded to LHB coaches. Many other trains that should have transitioned to LHB coaches long ago have been prioritized below the Vande Bharat project, postponing this crucial task.
