From 9th March 2024 3A in Faluknama and Simhapuri express are completely replaced by 3E.
It's not a good move of replacing all the 8 3A coaches to 3E

It's official IRCTC have allowed for booking too, the official press release may release soon once it starts operating with LHB coaches. Cocanada express Reservation is suspended from Feb 5th, we can expect a change in it's CC

A 3E coach's berth is basically smaller in width/length than sleeper, right? So, for someone, who wants the optimal experience, he/she will need to book in 2A, for now?

Yes the real 3AC traveller who has been traveliing in 3AC for last 10 years need to upgrade to 2AC now for better comfort and less crowd and that's what the railways mind in increasing 2AC to 3-4 coaches.

The passengers who are travelling in SL now should travel in 3ACE as they are being reduced. This is the motive of IR now.

The carrying capacity in ICF 2AC 46 3AC 320 SL 12×72 =864 total 1230 18 coaches
LHB 3×52= 156 8 3AC 8×72=576 SL 400 total 1132. 16 coaches

Effectively the capacity will be reduced by 100 berths per day which translates 700 berths per week so naturally though 3AC is increased you have WL. So to increase the capacity they are replacing

That's only a secondary reason. The main reason is change in coach composition after getting LHB coaches. When you suddenly reduce SL coaches from ~10 to 2 [for a train from Deoghar, I think] after LHB thing, this is bound to happen. They increased AC coaches in Shaheed express [ASR-JYR] by FIVE times [from 3 to 15] after LHB thing. What were they thinking when handing this coach composition? India might be rising and there is demand for AC travel. But there is not this much demand that you drastically increase five darn times.
