Rakes of this train are UBL based. Those trains have YPR based rakes.

It's not starting from tomorrow. SWR is day dreaming and giving contradictory statements. Here they say it is yet to be approved by railway board.

I wonder how they issued official notification and media outlets published the train's inaugural run on November 1st if approval hasn't been obtained yet! Something's fishy here.

No idea. Even SWR is not replying to any queries. Can you inform other KA railfans you know to question as well on Twitter/Facebook? This seems ridiculous after all newspapers here have publicized this train's introduction so much!

What soil restoration? There's no landslide reported anywhere.
The rakes of this train are based at Hubli. None of these trains you've mentioned have UBL based rakes.

Checking is strict at MAQ and MAJN for trains coming from Kerala. Only passengers of Bengaluru and Madgaon trains are let go.
There is a guideline that passengers travelling from Mahashtra need to produce negative RT-PCR report while entering Karnataka. However, if a train is travelling through multiple states, how someone in Karnataka will determine whether the arriving passenger needs RT-PCR or not? e.g. train can start from Delhi and pass through other states incl Maharashtra and then enter Karnataka. So do all passengers of that train need RT-PCR since the train travels through Maharashtra or only the ones whose journey is starting from Maharashtra?
They check your tickets at the exit. If you're not coming from MH and KL, they let you go.

That's strange. Here at MAJN, there are at least 10-15 cops at the exit to prevent people from escaping. Even at Kumta, saw a cop forcing passengers of Mangalore Madgaon Passenger to stand in line at the exit and enter details. No testing since it's an intra-state train.
