This My Travel experience from Pune to Mumbai with my family on Deccan Queen
My son 6-year-old was very curious to travel by Deccan queen as he loves trains very much. It was early morning we left from our home in Pune to station to catch Deccan queen, we reached station by 6.30 am and it was lazy morning on platform no 1. As we reached the platform Patna-Pune arrived on platform 3 1 hour late and at 6.40 am Deccan queen was shunted on platform 1 and suddenly platform 1 was alive with some energy. Our coach position was D4 we seatted on our seats, around 7 am WCAM3 Engine was attached and exact 7.15 our train departed from Pune. After...

After departing Lonavala at 8.15 we moved to Dining Car as it was close to our boggie but after reaching there, already people were setted there and after waiting for 15 minutes we got the table and it was time to order (menu for dining car is Veg Cutlet, Chicken Cutlet, Bread Omelette, Cheese Toast, Fish Cutlet (Depend on Availability), Baked Beans with Toasted Bread, Sabudana Wada, Bread Butter, Tea, Coffee) and this you will be served crockery plates and cups with fork and spoons. It was time to order and surprisingly the servers are very polite and take order patiently, so we ordered 1 veg cutlet, 1 chicken cutlet, baked beans with toast and tea, coffee and it was very yummy and tasty. This was the time I really loved Indian Railways and Central Railway as they manage the Deccan Queen for years with sincerity. It was something special I was sitting in a Dinning Car on wheels and having breakfast with my family and we had a lovely time.
After all this yummy breakfast we went to our coach and seated at our place and at 10 am we reached Dadar and alighted. Overall it was a pleasant experience on the Queen on Wheels.
