Reservation suspended for the train after Oct 2nd. All RSA trains reservation are also suspended. Likely to see some changes in TT but since RSA reservation is also suspended, its likely to still have RSA after LHBfication. Will the departure change to morning 06 AM from Charlapalli ? Have to wait and watch.....
One thing is for sure. SR is lazy and waste zone. Especially MAS and TVC , they don't want to maintain no train but keep their zones lol and I say this as SR railfan lol

Shifting to Charlapalli might be possible but would be a very reckless move considering there is not good connectivity to CHZ from the main city. It already takes a lot of time to get to SC from these areas. MMTS services are not up to mark. If they want to go ahead with materializing CHZ as a terminal, they should work on these things as well. Hyderabad as a city needs a lot of infrastructure boost, especially in terms of transit. As far as TVC is concerned, all this mess wouldn't have been an issue if they simply would take up PM of Sabari. I highly doubt speedup it currently takes 6h 5min to cover ERN TVC!!!! If SM is such a big issue, transfer SM to Kanyakumari or Nagercoil. It already lies idle in the yards of TVC all night or they park it somewhere.

If this arrangement could be made, that would work out for all parties. Works out for TVC division and SCR. Even if PM is not at NCJ, it's a win for TVC division.

This train already runs jam-packed I think. Maybe within kerala it runs a little empty during the day time, but pax keep boarding and it fills up by the time it reaches CBE. But CAPE extension will avoid the ridiculous Charminar extension proposal which should not happen under any circumstance.

Well it's a train meant to cater to the people in Kerala primarily. The extension was proposed because TVC division is whining about SM of this train. It also rejected a proposal for PM and speedup of this train which would save one rake, basically stalling any improvement. The only solution here seems to be extension. Island Express (SBC CAPE) takes the longer route as well. I believe it was extended from ERN or TVC to CAPE.

island Express was first running upto Cochin Terminus in Ernakulam and then was extended to Thiruvananthapuram and consequently Kanyakumari. The demand of this train to Kerala from Bengaluru was high, which is why they didn't tamper with the original route. Same thing will be done for Sabari if extended to CAPE.

What will SR try to achieve by delinking the rakes of PC and MS-CAPE? Pathetic to see the way the zone is functioning. They didnt even care to build a pitline at CAPE and decongest NCJ.

If TVC is vexed with Sabari SM, Better to just extend Sabari to CAPE from TVC end and NED from SC end with PM at NED. 4 Rakes can be utilized properly and no unnecessary RSA is needed. Whole of NED SC can can benefit with this arrangement, gaining new connectivity to GNT - OGL - NLR and all the regions of TN and KL this train covers.

I have made a suggestion that is not being discussed.TVC is acting like a kid saying it doesn't want to do SM. We can also see it when SR gives too much time between ERN and TVC on both ends, delayed arrival and early departure. SCR on the other hand can't help but blame SR for it's stalling in SF status of this train and I doubt SR will accept a SF schedule for this train (would be great if it does) , what else is the solution? There is no end to this loop. One zone wants to make this a SF and another one wants to make this another DHN ALLP. Such extensions have been made before Ex. Bidar Machilipatnam Express. Rayalaseema SF, MBNR VSKP SF. Does it make any sense to extend a train from any location in Hyderabad?! No but they do it very often.

Charminar extension won't happen as far as I'm concerned. The IT employees and regular travellers will notice the decrease in quotas and eventually a new train demand will be on the paper. All these years demand was there, they should have given a new daily train from the start. Now they are thinking about extending a prestigious train such as Charminar. Extensions have their own purpose as you mentioned. Many zones have done extensions in the name of transferring PM or SM responsibility/RSA issues. Sabari's main issue is the TAT at SC, which makes it a very viable candidate for extension. I don't hope for it. We all have seen the connectivity this train provides to Kerala. SCR / SR allow specials running peak season to earn their profits but God forbid they run a new train to cater to the demand of this route. One thing is for sure, the...

Currently all they can do is get rid of PM trains at TVC. Venad/Ernad/Parasuram can have PM @ MAQ. Construction of a new terminal for SM trains can be taken up beyond TVC, towards NCJ line.

Doubt whether a coach with 70 passengers will be able to get air by opening the door. The space is little near the entry. It is clearly a criminal offense but we have to think about all the passengers as well. Since there are very few outlets into the contained part of the AC coach, the place will be out of breathable air very soon.

Grand trunk is literally like the grandpa of the MAS NDLS route, it likes to figure out and take it's time to serve all states. Tamilnadu is young adult around the block which just moves at a faster pace.
