it seems ECR has decided to revert the old numbers of ALL Passenger trains/EMU/MEMU etc back to 5XXX/6XXX series once again as it was pre-covid w.e.f 01.07.2024

Sub-Renumbering of passenger trains with regular number..
Ref:- Railway Board's letter no. 2020/Chg/30/2 dated 03.06.2024.

Railway Board, vide letter under reference, has notified that all passenger trains which are running with PSPC number 1.c. starting with '0' should be renumbered w.e.f. 01.07.2024 as was running during pre-COVID period.

Ratnagiri has a pitline which is NOT Abandoned. Its in a Dilapidated Condition, Few Passenger trains used to have PM @RN Precovid, but few of those passenger trains got cancelled in the name of ZBTT and since then the Pitline has been relatively unused. Anyways the Pitline itself isnt that long to accommodate any useful trains, its like 15-16 Coaches long iirc

instead, Pune-Ratnagiri / Madgaon Intercity should be tried
