In my opinion all WAM-4 s should transfer for newly electrifying stations for immediate run of E-Locos instead scrapping them. THEY ARE THE BEST OF BEST IN OUR INDIAN RAILWAYS FOREVER.WAPs are trash and some time they dead on route very easily. i saw so wany WAP-7 and WAP-4 dead locos rescued by other locos. but not WAM's

Yes wonder why many WAPs are now getting burned or facing short circuit problems. Some rescuers now are not the dead one however they are attached in front of elec locs for non elec areas. Katni Satna and few secitons now use Diesel loco attach detach process rather than loco change.
