Daund - Manmad doubling update

Hello friends I recently travelled on the DD - MMR section.Following are my observations.

1.Bhima river bridge work near Daund about 80% complete.
2.Absolutely...

no work between Daund and Kashti.
3.Earth work complete between Kashti and Shrigonda.
4.Earth work complete between Srigonda and Belwandi.Track laying has started.
5.Track laid between Belwandi and Visapur...100 % work complete.
6.Sub grade work of land levelling complete between Visapur and Akolner.
7.No progress between Akolner and Padhegaon.Only land levelled between Rahuri and Vambori.
8.Track laid between Padhegaon and Belapur..100% complete.
9.Ballast and track laying between Belapur and Puntamba.The bridge work on Godavari has started.
10.Track laid between Kopargaon and Kanhegaon...100%.
11.Double line and electrification totally complete from Kopargaon to Manmsd.
12.Re - development of Ahmednagar and Kopargaon station taking place.Nagar will get total 4 platforms while Kopargaon will get 3rd platform.

Quarters behind Platform no 2 in Nagar have been demolished on June 13th 2022.

Daund - Manmad doubling and electrification is only 35% complete.Will be completed by 2026.

New Aurangabad - Ahmednagar railway line is likely to get momentum now. As informed by MoS Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad, instead of constructing entire Pune to Aurangabad line, IR observed that only Aurangabad to Ahmednagar line is more economical and beneficial. Daund to Manmad doubling is undergoing and bypass at Daund is operational now. If railway needs to construct new A'nagar Pune line, the cost of land acquisition will make project uneconomical besides, it will anyways not be possible to directly connect to Pune Jn. Additionally, IR is also eying on freight traffic which it will get on existing alignment. Thus, only Aurangabad to Ahmednagar new line will get push. ЁЯСНЁЯЩВ

Railway line work is going on well between Ashti to Raimoha.Political pressure is not allowing the speedy completion.Unfortunately MoS railways himself does not want this line to be completed.We have written to PMO office about this.
