Someone shared the papercut here, sadly I can't find it now.
We can see SBC-TPTY in feasibility list and like you said, it won't be good for such a short distance. Hence Vijayawada seems likely, need to check if it's operationally feasible.

ERS, MDU - SBC VB will be from SR side as those rakes were already dispatched to respective divisions. Hence we can rule out those options.

With price increase, I agree. Regardless, some of the vb specials are doing good in SR like MS-NCJ VB. Like you said, prime routes should be considered without experimenting it.

Exactly, bus travel time is just 4 hrs and it is available every 10 mins.
SR should restore the Tambaram-Tiruvannamalai daytime train as a express with 4hr TT in order to provide proper, better travel option.
Look at the Arrival and departure timings, nothing to say.

Public transport must be very much available.
Bus fare would also be nominal and you don't need to worry about that except for Auto's/rickshaws.

Officially, it is one of the slowest VB, having SF category average speed.
Like you said, avg speed is very much important and it should at least have 68+ avg IMO(for max 7 hr travel skipping TPJ). If it involves TPJ, we need TEN-MS kind of priority and avg speed.
