The Body of WAG-9 Locomotive has resemblance with the following two types of Locomotives:
1 IORE
2 HXD3B Locomotive Used in China Railways
IORE:
Iore,
...
often stylized IORE, is a class of 26 electric locomotives built by Adtranz and its successor Bombardier Transportation for the Swedish mining company LKAB's railway division Malmtrafik. The class is a variation of Adtranz's Octeon modular product platform, thus related to Bombardier's later TRAXX platform. The locomotives haul iron ore freight trains on the Iron Ore Line and Ofoten Line in Sweden and Norway, respectively. The 8,600-tonne (8,500-long-ton; 9,500-short-ton) 68-car trains are hauled by two single-ended Co′Co′ locomotives, each with a power output of 5,400 kW (7,200 hp). Each operates with 600 kilonewtons (130,000 pounds-force) tractive effort and has a maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). Delivery of the first series of 18 locomotives was made from 2000 to 2004, and they replaced some of the aging Dm3 and El 15 units. In 2007, eight more vehicles (4 double units) were ordered, with production to be completed by 2011, by which time, another four double units were ordered. These units are scheduled to be delivered from 2013 to 2014.

HXD3B Locomotive Used in China Railways :
HXD3B(Chinese:和谐电3D型电力机车) is a class of electric locomotives for heavy freight service built by Bombardier Transportation and CNR Dalian Locomotives. The Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China (MOR) ordered 500 locomotives in February 2007 for €1.1 billion (US$1.4 billion) from Dalian Locomotives and Bombardier Transportation, with Bombardier's share amounting to €370 million (US$480 million).[3] The first unit, HXD3B0001 was delivered on 29 December 2008 in Dalian, the entire order of 500 machines will be delivered by the end of 2011.

Please note that "FOR PERFECT RESEMBLANCE" it is with HXD3B Locomotive Used in China Railways as seen from the Picture and it is also to be noted that in HXD3B Locomotive Used in China Railways has "DISC BRAKES" though it is a Co-Co Locomotive. So there is very much scope of "DISC BRAKES" for both WAG-9 & WAP-7 as because there is very much Similarity in the Livery & Bogie of both of these Locomotives.

**** CLW HAVE STOPPED PRODUCING HITACHI TRACTION MOTOR , SMOOTHING REACTOR & INDUCTIVE SHUNT OF CONVENTIONAL LOCOMOTIVES FINALLY *****
We all know that CLW has already stopped Producing Conventional Locomotives already in the Last Year.
Now they have permanently stopped producing parts of conventional Locomotives also.
Now
...
they produce only the Following Traction Motors of 3-Phase Locomotives ONLY:

1 3-PHASE TRACTION MOTOR TYPE 6FRA 6068 (For WAP-7 & WAG-9 Locomotives) TARGET FOR 2016-17 : 1500
2 3-PHASE TRACTION MOTOR TYPE 6FXA 7059 (For WAP-5 Locomotives) TARGET FOR 2016-17 : 120
It is also to be noted that for Both Traction Motors Production id "NIL" in April 2016 i.e in the Last Month.
Link: click here
(Screenshot Attached)
It is seen that as WAG-9 & WAP-7 are now very Popular so demand for their Traction Motors is also increased.
First Time such Huge Production Target(i.e 1500) given by Railway Board to CLW for FY 2016-17 which is First in the History of CLW too.
So, we can easily say that WAP-7 & WAG-9 is much more demanding in Indian Railways than WAP-5
For WAP-5 Railway Board has given ony 120 Traction Motor order for FY 2016-17
So the Difference is huge 1380 Traction Motors ordered extra to CLW for WAP-7 & WAG-9 as compared to WAP-5 in FY 2016-17 by Railway Board

What is " Rheostatic braking" of Conventional Locomotives of IR ?
Ans: A system of dynamic braking in which direct-current drive motors are used as generators and convert the kinetic energy of the motor rotor and connected load to electrical energy, which in turn is dissipated as heat in a braking rheostat connected to the armature.
In other words a method of

electric braking in which an electric motor operates as a generator. The kinetic energy of the motor rotor and connected load is dissipated in a starting rheostat or a special braking rheostat, and a braking torque is produced on the shaft of the machine. Rheostatic braking is usually used for the light braking or complete stoppage of a transport vehicle or moving mechanical system of comparatively small mass, where the amount of energy released in the braking is comparatively small.
