by June 2023. The new double track will allow for the running of new trains, as the existing tracks between Kanpur Central and Delhi via Etawah and Mumbai via Jhansi are overloaded. The CRS will conduct speed trials on the 28 km double track between Banda and will run a train at 110 km/h, after which he will decide if passenger trains can run on this section.
