My detailed return Trip report by 12430 Rajdhani Express from Delhi To Bangalore..
I was very much excited about this trip when I started my journey from Bnagalore Itself as I had not been in Rajdhani Express.. Finally the day that I was waiting finally came.. I was In a hotel at Paharganj and took an auto from Paharganj to Nizzamuddin.. The autowala took Rs.80

it was 1 hour early.. But that was not to be.. There were 100`s of passengers standing on platform waiting for this train.. Now I realized how much in demand is Sbc Raj eventhough Karnataka Express and Sampark Kranti Express are there.. 80-90% of passengers were North Indians.

Finally train arrived at 8.5pm and there was a huge rush and jumbling going on to embark the train… I think all were in so much hurry that they had not seen a train at all in their life… (Haha just joking). My coach was B6 which was in 7th position from Engine.. This Rajdhani can be rightly called King of Mismatch as there were all type of coaches like typical raj,durunto,Garib Rath( thank god there were no Shatabdi and Janshatabdi). My coach was of Go kerala coach. The coach was pretty old but interiors were clean.. So I entered my coach and occupied my berth 7.. Soon there was a fight between two persons for keeping lugguage… That person had brought about 6-7 lugguages and was trying to keep below my berth.. But another person who was allotted berth8 suddenly started arguing as he was to keep his lugguage under his berth.. This verbal warfare went on for 15 mins till attender came and calmed them down..
The train started bang on time at 8.20 and it picked up speed within no time as it was led by WAP7. The food was provided at 9.30 pm. Hot Tomato Soup was given first with two breadsticks. The dinner was served which consisted of 2 chapati, Dal, chicken curry, rice, curd.. Later ice cream was also given.The food was good except the chicken was not cooked inside properly.. I think only our coach did not have the privacy curtains as all other coach had… After having dinner I slept at 10.30 and woke up morning at 6 am. The pantry car person named Dildar woke me up and provided me with coffee and biscuit.. Then the breakfast was served at 8 am which consisted of Bread Omlette, butter and ketch up.. So I had my breakfast and went out to get some fresh air.. The train was moving at speed of 75kmph constantly.. and reached Balharshah. Here I got a chance to see 12494 Raj bound for delhi with typical Rajdhani icf coaches.. So the train left again and reached Secunderabad at 6.13 pm 22 mins…
From here shocking incidents started one by one…
1.. The sale of liquor which is strictly prohibited in IR is not in this train.. As some attendants brought the liquor to a person… The person asked how much was the price and attendants told the price was around Rs.300 for a quarter… I was in curiosity and asked what liquors are available.. Then he told Whisky,vodka,beer and rum are available at different rates. The secret is fresh water bottle is given which is then opened and emptied and vodka is added as it has same colour like water and it is given to person who has ordered it. So that othe people think he has ordered for water. Then I went to other side of coach where attendants sleep. There I was shocked to see 3-4 bottles of liquors..
2… This is most digusting part… But I cannot hold anything to myself so telling.. In 1 ac coach there was 4 berths available… the call girls were provided by the attendants… The person was telling that I want some maal and attendant asked the price and person told between 500-1000.. Within next 1 hr the person left from our coach and headed straight to 1st Ac coach where seats were vacant.. he was then accompanied by call girl… (You know what happens next.). Train stopped at Sedam where call girls dis-embarked the coach.. Here attendants make money Varying from Rs.300- Rs.1500.. and the person gave extra money for 3hrs to be in first ac and he gave attendants money to protect from being seen by any other person.. I went to first AC coach.. As soon as I opened door the attendants stopped me and said no one is allowed to enter the cabin as there are vip`s in cabin..(These shitters are vip`s…).. So I came back and knew what was happening.

From that moment I decided myself not to travel in this train anymore( No regrets ) I don’t know how many of you have experienced this....
Now for some sweet shocking… The news is that there was not even single coackroach or rat or bedbug in entire coaches and very good linen were provided.. This could go to Ripley`s Believe It or not…(Haha).
Then night dinner was served which was the same and I had it and went to sleep at 10.30 and woke up at 6.15.. The pantry car members came asking for tips and gave him Rs.50 and he was very happy.. But the person who was sitting next to me gave only 5… The train had reached Yelahanka and it reached Bangalore city 7 mins late at 6.47 am..
My ratings
Coach Condition- 6/10
AC condition -9/10
Comfort level -9/10
Food - 8/10
Pantry boy behavior- 8/10( this is based on my experience and this is given to pantry boy who served me food)
Attendants Behaviour- ?? ( Don’t know what to give after all this happened.. I need your help to rate)

Ahead of Railway Budget 2012, expectations are high among the people of the State as they pin hopes on Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniyappa and Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who has a close rapport with Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi, to fulfil many of their aspirations.Also, the budget comes amid a perception that Mr. Muniyappa, who has been a Minister of State since 2009, could have done more for the State that has the least railway network among southern States.Principal among people's expectations are expeditious doubling of Bangalore-Mysore line (between Channapatna and Mysore); speedy completion of Bangalore-Hassan line (between Nelamangala and Shravanabelagola); commuter rail for Bangalore city; creation of railway divisions in Mangalore and Gulbarga; introduction of new trains between important cities in Karnataka and extension of Yeshwantpur-Kannur night train to Karwar/ Madgaon.Lokesh, a resident of Bangalore, demanded that the Ministry give priority to completion of the new line...

between Bangalore-Hassan, which was announced during H.D. Deve Gowda's tenure as Prime Minister. Mr. Sadananda Gowda has already forwarded the government's wish list to the Ministry demanding inclusion of seven new lines in the budget as well as doubling of Bangalore-Mangalore line. He said the State government had been equally sharing the costs of new projects as well as some ongoing projects and therefore the Ministry should give primacy to those projects.Insisting that the Gadag-Wadi and Srinivasapura-Madanapalle new should be included in the budget, Mr. Gowda said Gadag-Wadi line would provide connectivity between Bangalore-Mumbai line and would link the Hyderabad-Mumbai line.
Sanction new trains
Chairman of Infrastructure Committee, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Prakash Mandoth has urged Mr. Trivedi to sanction several new inter-city and inter-state trains, which are being demanded for long.They include Bangalore-Chikmagalur (after completion of the track); Shimoga-Hospet; Hubli-Bidar; Arsikere-Bangalore; Sholapur-Gulbarga-Bangalore; Bangalore-Belgaum-Miraj; Bidar-Bangalore; Bangalore-Chitradurga; Bangalore-Hospet; Bangalore-Tirupati; Shimoga-Bangalore; Hubli-Guntakal and Mysore-Nanjangud.He also demanded introduction of new trains connecting Mangalore-Chennai, Hubli-Manmad, Dharwad-Madurai, Mumbai-Mangalore-Bangalore, Hubli-Dadar, Mangalore-Bangalore-Howrah, Dharwad-Kanyakumari, Ernakulam-Jaipur via Mangalore, Bangalore-Shirdi via Bellary, Bagalkot-Solapur, Yeshwantpur-Bijapur, Mysore-Solapur via Hassan and Hubli, Hubli-Pune via Bagalkot, Bijapur and Solapur and Hubli-Mumbai.Demanding that the Subramanya Road Station in Dakshina Kannada be made a terminating station facilitating introduction of new trains, Mr. Sadananda Gowda urged the Ministry to operate passenger trains between Sakleshpur-Subramanya Road and Mangalore-Subramanya to cater to pilgrims.
