"The journey of Indian Railways" - 12133 Mumbai CSMT - Mangalore (Mangluru) Superfast Express. The 12133/34 Mangalore Express is a fast passenger service of Indian Railways. Operated by Central Railways, the "Mangalore Express" runs daily between Mumbai and various cities in the state of Karnataka reaching Mangalore. On November 23, 2009, the then Railway Minister of the state, K H Muniyappa, showed a green flag to the superfast train running between Mumbai and Karwar in just three weeks. Seeing an increasing demand from passengers, the route of this train was extended to Mangalore and the train started running daily. Time to leave from Mumbai - 10:02 PM. Time to arrive in Mangalore - 12:50 PM (next day). Train department - Central Railways. Coach type - ICF. Food available - No. Travel time - 14 hours 48 minutes. Total distance - 894 km. Total stops - 13. Average speed - 60 km/hr. Train route: From Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Mangalore via Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Madgaon Junction, Udupi.

With, like, a frickin' average delay of at least 5 hours every damn day, we can, like, totally say that our very own Rocket has been completely wrecked. Like, seriously, the Rocket used to be, like, the fav train for railfans because it was fast and always had top priority, but now it's just like any other boring passenger train. I actually rode on it from one end to the other this month and had the worst freakin' experience. If you want speed and being on time, then do not even think about booking MAJN SF. During our journey, it left MAJN an hour late and arrived in Thane a whopping 7 hours behind schedule. We seriously need to retire the name Rocket from MAJN Express. It's so sad to see one of my favorite trains being so severely messed up. Vivek P.S: If anyone knows why the heck they made it so much worse, please share. I complained on Railmadad, but I'm pretty sure no one gives a damn.
