This is the only train from Katpadi to Trichy in shortest route, 339 kms. All other trains travel in zigzag route.
Surprisingly, Trichy to Vellore Town (330 kms) is under SR TPJ division, but no trains connecting these areas in shorter route. Only few odd trains at odd timings connect Trichy and Katpadi.
Hope something is done.
