irifan2015~ 2490 blog postsThis is the only train from Katpadi to Trichy in shortest route, 339 kms. All other trains travel in zigzag route.
Surprisingly, Trichy to Vellore Town (330 kms) is under SR TPJ division, but no trains connecting these areas in shorter route. Only few odd trains at odd timings connect Trichy and Katpadi.
Hope something is done.

First run of Secunderabad - Madurai summer special crossing Vaigai river and entering Madurai junction on a rainy night. It's return run from Madurai - Secunderabad crossing Vaigai river on early hour of the day. Additional spotting Tuticorin - Mysuru express crossing Vaigai river. South Central Railways decided to run these summer specials due to crowd. Passengers kindly make us of it.
