Grievance Description : Sir, I am thankful to IR for making Retiring Room booking online. This has helped genuine passenger seeking Rooms for short period. Here I seek to draw your kind attention to the fact that a passenger can book RR at Source station and at Destination station maximum of 48 hours. This is very good. My problem is as under If am allowed to book at source station before departure of train, it helps me to stay in RR. But when I try to book at Destination station a RR for the period which is before arrival time of train, I am not allowed. I will elaborate my point with an example. Suppose my train is reaching Coimbatore at 0230 hours, I can book the RR only for the time from 0800 hours and not before. For the period between 0230 hours and 0800 hours, I have to either suffer at Waiting Room or at Platform... I can not book the slot from 2000 hours or previous day to the time I am entitled. Please look into the human side of the need a passenger needs the RR immediately after alighting the train. But here passenger will not dare to go to RR office. If the staff is asleep, will not dare to wake them up. If staff is waken up, they will be not cooperative to allot the RR Sir, Please help thousands of such passengers who need RR and rest for a while. I hope your good selves will evaluate this grievance positively and direct the concerned to amend the rules such that practical solution benefits the passengers all the time. after all we are going to have "World Class Railways", so I hope the rules too will be in line with this motto.
