Agree, NDLS-CNB-ALD-MGS is heavily congested. no doubt in that.

But,
Diverting...
more... RAJDHANIs is not an easy and one task. a lot is to be calculated such as overtakes which would certainly disturb other trains. etc
.
PS : NDLS-CNB-ALD-MGS is/wud b completely automatic signalling and also, talks are their to monitor non stop trains thru satellite 4m TDL and RURA.

RAJDHANIs stop only on CNB and MGS (some at ALD too).
however NDLS-LKO-MGS wud add 3 stops as MB, LKO and BSB. quite time wasting isnt it ?

ceratin parts of GZB-MB-LKO is 100kmph and making it 130kmph isnt a easy task and a lot wud be invested in infrastructure.
also note certain part of LKO-BSB is still single. again a obstacle.

merely for BSB (which is just 18kms to travel MGS which 24hr connected and metro being planned), RAJDHANIs being diverted sud certainly BIG NO !

Please note SDAH raj was via CNB-LKO-BSB but later on it was made via ALD. however to compensate that DBRG Raj via LKO were introduced.

PS lets ignore print media bcoz they print d moment they hear a MASALA e.g. NDLS-GKP shat, GKP-ALD DD and POLITICS-useless to say Bhopal's model rake makes run BSB-NDLS Mahanama via LKO :o and 12581/82 dat too via ALD-CNB :o introducing consecutive year.

my take
1. if required certain less MPS trains can be diverted.
2. stop introducing political trains on NDLS-CNB e.g 12581/82 (although am regular pax of it :p)
