Ok agree with your reason that freights are lined up. If you see the timetable mgs to ald you see that behind 12817 is udyan abha toofan which is express nd after that ppta pune sf at 0250 hrs. If freights can wait for rajdhani gang till 0200 am then why not they can wait and should depart after 12817 i.e. after 0215 hrs. That way freights will have free time from 0220hrs to 0250hrs. And according to railways only rajdhani gets top priority, then sf and express and then freights. Then why in this case freights are made to depart before 12817 making it late and ultimately make 12818 late too. In the same route one sf is not allowed to be overtaken by rajdhani and other sf is being not made to go ahead of freights.

I agree. I am talking about freights standing on loop lines between jep-nyn. As far as12817 is concerned its present scenario of delays is only due to negligence. 23 coaches train from RNC perhaps the longest and having good patronage but utterly neglected. If it can maintain its time slot it is the best connectivity.

Negligence to bilkul hai controllers ki. Dekha jaye to 12817 ke baad practically ppta pune sf hai ( bcoz toofan exp is always late anr arrives after ppta pune) jo ki 35 min baad hai. In 35 min mein 7 to 8 freights handle ki jaa sakti hai. Agar proper handling ki jaaye to 12817 kabhi late nahi hogi atleast till ald.
Mera to suggestion hai ki 12817/18 ko via lko kar dena chahiye. Isse ranchi ko lko connectivity bhi milegi aur ye train bhi time par chalegi.
