Bcz I dont judge any train by just seeing the Exterior paint and say its "superb maintenance as usual by particular Zone/CDO" . I haven't travelled in majority of mas cdo trains so I don't know. Also cant judge by just travelling in few trains.
Afterall, I dont get any credit, whoever becomes the best.

I thought you would know better than others. You know about many SR trains .
Also seeing how "superbly" Vaigai, Pallavan is maintained that many TN members say, I just wanted to know your opinion, believing you would know better than many about various CDO trains.
One thing is clear from the news - reading fans description of the "so called" best maintained trains here on IRI and the actual winner selected is a real eye opener.

Problem is that I have to travel mainly ERN/PGT- Kozhikode-Mangalore - Konkan - Mumbai Side as part of work/other priorities.And occasionaly to MDU. Doesn't have to travel to chennai Side. Forget Chennai, even to CBE which is just 48 km from home , I doesn't have to travel there. If at all to CBE, that would be in bus/car too! . So I dont get to travel much in Tpj/mas/mdu maintained trains

Seems like each division in SR nominated 1 or 2 trains for the award and Maveli received the award among those nominations only which still is a good achievement. But the article is so misleading and incomplete that it gives an impression to public that Maveli was adjudged best among all trains maintained by SR. Its logistically not feasible to make an accurate comparison of 100+ trains maintained by SR.

Its logistically not feasible to make an accurate comparison of 100+ trains maintained by SR - yes by common man like us. But department knows which are the best maintained by them and nominate as you said. The heads who inspect the work too know which are the best maintained. So basically the best get nominated and the best among them wins, I guess.
