Masagram a Flyover hobei, because Bowaichandi-Khana New line project is Scrapped so, ei Bankura-Masagram route ta ER er sathe connect hobei and many South and West India trains towards Northeast j gulo presently Adra hoye journey kore oi gulo k ei route diye divert kora hobe in future. Also Freight train o run korbe. Based on traffic you never know this route can be doubled line in future.

Masagram local er moton crossing kore temporarily cholbe till Flyover complete hocche till then....but 1 train k crossing korate.... UP and DOWN both sides ei clearance lage and oi busy HWH-BWN Chord line a oto fast route a onno trains er speed komate hoy ba waiting korate hoy to pass this crossing train from UP to DOWN line.( I think ami theek bojhate parlam).
Who knows you will see Howrah-Masagram local is Howrah-Sonamukhi Local in future maybe. Also Howrah-Bankura MEMU pgr will be running via Masagram route.
Many plans are there in this Bankura-Masagram route in future in SER. It will be a very busy route in future once both Flyovers at Bankura and Masagram gets completed and direct connectivity with Kharagpur to Masagram and even Barddhaman via this route.
Initially SER had these plans for Bowaichandi-Khana route , but after 90% land acquisition done and 20% work was also done by SER for that project, that project got scrapped due to local people agitations there. Now SER will be using Bankura-Masagram route for that purpose in future.
This route will also connect SER with EDFC project route via this route also as an alternative option.
