Technically it is a concern. But sometimes TTEs do allow such mistakes (totally depends on TTE). During one of my journey my co-passenger had similar issue and TTE had questioned with higher tone but however he allowed co-passenger to travel.
Personally If I had entered something incorrect (male instead of female) I would rather cancel than facing issues/arguing with TTE (depends on individual) so it's upto you to make a decision and how you want to handle. And I am not sure if there is a rule which considers such incorrect information provided during reservation is illegal and not allowed to travel. Please wait for someone with more details to respond.
