People of Dhanbad should elect better representatives in my opinion. I have been through all the respective replies to the blog. See it is easy to blame ECR, it is notorious for a lot of things, but the truth is had Nishikant Dubey been the MP of DHN, all of this would have been done a lot earlier. You have to meet up with the railway minister convince him/her of the value of the service in that route. More importantly you have to convince the electoral benefits that the provided service would count for the party. The current central government is an election winning machine and remains operative in election mode 24/7. The jist is be it the MP of Dhanbad and Tatanagar, both are incompetent of the highest degree. One has an un-explainable fascination with BXR, and the other is an absolute clown.

There was a time when I used to be mad at ECR too. But so many things happened that, I concluded the problem lied with the people of Dhanbad and their extreme lethargic nature, and particularly the incompetent representatives they hire to represent us! IIM went to RNC, AIMS went to DGHR, Airport went to DGHR. When HWH-NDLS Duronto was being diverted our MP was happy with the fact that he had saved 12301 from being diverted. I mean this are the clowns that we have elected, and we must reap what we sow! Tell me AIMS and Airport are also the fault of ECR ?Why didn't the MP protest, why wasn't there a protest. If things don't turn up your way, even violence should be used. I feel bad for the wanton destruction of railway property that happened in Bihar during the Agniveer protest, but I understand why they did it. This government has the habit of ignoring your when you say something peacefully, up the violence ante and see them proselytise as per your whims.
See, when you are unable to defend your property, others will definitely take advantage.

It is true that DHN station has much better facilities than TATA, and they were introduced earlier too. DHN got escalators right after PNBE, before MFP, GAYA
etc.When it comes to station amenities DHN is right behind PNBE in ECR. You may say anything, but DHN not getting dedicated trains is more down to our poor political strength rather than ECR's lack of trying. ECR does send proposal, atleast they used to in the past. Running trains from DHN is much of an issue. It lies dead on a trunk route. It has 4 functional pitlanes, although getting the rake to and from the platform is a issue that ECR can do well by paying attention too. But getting trains without political backing is virtually impossible, particularly in the current scenario.

See comparing TATA's and DHN's DLI connectivity is not right. TATA does not lie on the HWH-DLI route, DHN does. By that logic Dhanbad should have as much as trains for Delhi like TATA has for Mumbai. It should be natural that DHN will have better trains for DLI compared to TATA. Instead DHN doesn't have a single train for DLI with GNWL. And please going to GMO isn't everybody's piece of cake. Therefore I would support if this trains get diverted via DHN. Bring on Nandan Kanan and the BBS Rajs via ADRA and CKP via this route too.
