It would be better if PGT and TVC are integrated into a single division, with HQ at Ernakulam.
Kasaragod to Nagercoil (646 km), Sengottai to Kollam (94 kms ), Ernakulam to Kayamkulam via Kottayam (115 kms), Shoranur to Nilambur (66 kms ), Shoarnur to Palakkad (44 kms) plus Palakkad to Pollachi (58 kms). Total 1023 kms. Just sufficient for one division.
The bad treatment of TVC to NCJ/ CAPE and of PGT to MAQ will end and NCJ/ CAPE and MAQ will progress in their respective states' division/ zones.

more... Kerala in one division can bring more intra state connectivity. For example, as of now no trains from PGT division areas to GUV. Or no trains beyond Palakkad towards Pollachi by both TVC and TVC divisions (Amrita cannot be counted). No trains from Malabar to Punalur side.
While doing this realignment, let MAQ go to MYS division and NCJ/ CAPE to MDU. Let CBE POY be with SA.
If you analyse the practical situation, even SA does not deserve Div HQ status. CBE deserves. Earlier to 1953, Podanur was a division HQ which was taken away to PGT.
