ER should think about converting this train into a fully AC train. The 2 GS and 2 SL are hardly of any use. Instead ER should add 4 more 3ac coaches, that will be more useful for passengers

What I have observed is that ER is giving 130 to the trains that are now running as Covid spl along with their original RSA partners. So, I believe the next contender to get an upgradation in ER may be Pnbe JS. The trains that u have mentioned may still have to wait for some more time to get 130 mps

In Next say 10 to 12 years maximum we will see direct train from Kharagpur to Masagram and even towards Barddhaman side via Sonamukhi, Bowaichandi, Masagram route.....

Any change of short terminating it at New Coochbehar ?

Even if it doesn't get enough patronage, it would still continue to run from BXT. Dinhata is a subdivisional HQ and a direct connectivity from this subdivision to Kolkata was decades old demand. As the population of this subdivision is low, so it is obvious that the train train will not get any overwhelming patronage from this subdivision.
And if we go by your population logic, then more than half of the ONT and short distance trains of NE India would have been stopped by now

Sooner or later u r going to see that too, that's another long pending demand. But it's terminal will be Dhubri and not Tufanganj
And the intensity of this demand of Uttar Banga extsntion till BXT can be understood from the fact that this demand was an election manifesto of BJP in Dinhata area (the MP of Cooch Behar himself belongs from Dinhata). So be assured, it's not going anywhere

Even the extension is not hurting anyone. Uttar Banga was given to serve Cooch Behar and it's doing the same, only terminal has been changed to Bamanhat. And as i told, if u r just counting population then stations like Mahishahan, Bhairabi, Murkongselek, Jiribam, etc wouldn't have got any train.
NFR is extending Kanchan Jungha exp till Sabroom. Any idea regarding the population of Sabroom??? It's 6k
Population has never been a factor in NFR, the areas under NFR are sparsely populated since time immortal and NFR knows this fact very well...
