I think it's time for Indian Railways to be re-zoned. Right now, Indian Railways' zones and divisions are so damn messy. Near Mathura, North Central Railways and North Eastern Railways are more north than Northern Railways, duh. A part of Central Railways is down in South Central Railways' territory, LOL. Technically, North East is supposed to be in the east of North and North West in the west of North, but in some sections, the NER zone is stuck between NR and NWR. And there are some routes where the tracks of different zones run parallel. So, if you want to work on one track, getting permission from the other zone takes like 2-3 years, man. Same thing happened during the Aishbagh Manaknagar doubling project. The tracks of NR and NER are in the same place but NR made NER cry by not giving block permission. This ultimately harms us, regular passengers. Because when two zones are in the same place, they clash with each other. If you go 55 km north from Unnao Junction, you hit NER's Lucknow division, go 100 m west and you're in NR's Moradabad division, go 10 km south and bam, you're in NCR's Prayagraj division, and yep, Unnao itself is in NR's Lucknow Division, phew! In just this small section, there are 4 different divisions and 3 different zones just a short distance away. That's why there's so much conflict on this route. When a train is on NR's tracks, NR prioritizes its trains and screws up the others' schedules. When a train reaches NER, they move their trains up the list. And NCR does the same thing. That's why now railways need to rezone properly so that all the tracks around a specific division belong to that division and there's no track in between that belongs to another division. This will improve overall train efficiency and reduce zonal conflicts.

Isse overall nuksan hum common passengers ka hi hai.

Isliye is route pe itna conflict hota hai.
Yaha pe jab train NR ke tracks pe hoti hai to NR apni trains ko priority pe daal deta hai aur baaki trains late kar deta hai. Jab train NER pahuchti hai to NER wale apni trains ko priority dene lag jaate hai. Aur same cheej NCR wale karte hai.

Isliye ab railways ko zaroorat hai ki IR ki dobara sahi se zoning ki jaaye aur jo yeh ho raha hai ki agal bagal ke sabhi tracks ek particular division ke hai aur beech me ek track aa jaata hai jo doosre division ka hai ye cheej na ho.
Isse overall trains ki efficiency badhegi aur zonal conflicts kam se kam honge.

Vande Metro Lucknow Kanpur ke beech mein bohot zaroori hai bhai. Pehle toh COVID se pehle half se one hour me MEMU Local services chalti thi, lekin ab sirf teen pairs ki train operate ho rahi hai - ek subah, doosri dopahar mein aur teesri shaam ko. Iski wajah se Unreserved passengers ko bohot dikkat ho rahi hai kyunki daily commuters express trains ko prefer kar rahe hain jo already overcrowded hain. Is vajah se na local passengers araam se safar kar pa rahe hain aur na long distance train ke passengers. Lucknow - Unnao - Kanpur Region already packed hai daily commuters se aur zyada local services chahiye. Umeed hai ki Vande Metro iss region ko allocate hoga aur is section ke passengers ki madad karega.

I've been thinking about a new railway line idea. From Unnao to Akbarpur via Bachhrawan. A while back a politician proposed a new rail line from Unnao to Bachhrawan back in 2012. There was even a survey done, but after the government changed in 2014, the project got shelved. I'm thinking of extending this rail line all the way to Akbarpur. In Akbarpur, the upcoming Raebareli Ayodhya line and the current Lucknow Sultanpur line intersect. If this line is extended from Bachhrawan to Akbarpur, there could be a straight railway line from Kanpur all the way to Ayodhya via Unnao, Bachhrawan, Akbarpur. This would divert goods traffic from the entire North East UP up to the Nepal Border, bypassing Lucknow. If trains can reach Ayodhya directly, they can then travel straight towards Gorakhpur via Mankapur from Ayodhya.

Maine socha ki ek naya rail line ka concept hoga: Unnao se Akbarpur tak ke raste via Bachhrawan. Kuch saalo pehle, kisi neta ne Unnao se Bachhrawan jaa kar Akbarpur ke liye ek nayi rail line ki planning ki thi 2012 mein. Survey bhi hora tha, par 2014 mein sarkar badalne ke baad, kaam thap ho gaya. Ab main soch raha hoon ki Akbarpur tak rail line ko extend karne ka idea hai. Akbarpur mein future mein banne wali Raebareli Ayodhya line aur present mein chal rahi Lucknow Sultanpur line milti hai. Agar Bachhrawan se Akbarpur tak rail line bana di jaye toh Kanpur se seedha Ayodhya tak rail line hogi via Unnao Bachhrawan Akbarpur. Yeh hone se North east UP aur Nepal Border tak ka goods traffic Lucknow ko avoid karke nikal sakta hai. Agar trains seedhe Ayodhya pahuch gayi toh Ayodhya se aage via Mankapur tak Gorakhpur ki taraf seedhi trains chal sakti hain.
