A major train accident was averted in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday morning when a tractor driver, attempting to cross the railway crossing, was hit by a train. The accident occurred around 4:15 AM at the Ram Kishanpur Basai railway crossing in the Unj police station area. The driver was from the Baripur village in the Koirouna police station area. The police reached the scene, took possession of the damaged tractor and the driver's body, and halted the Prayagraj-Varanasi train for about half an hour.
