in Mtm bidar sf case, it doesnt undergo SM at Bidar.. it only undergoes Pf attention . i think even water filling takes place at Sc
I believe the limit for LHB is 4000km and for ICF, it's 3500 km. These are revised sometimes in special situations.
In many cases, rakes with long layovers have their 'Other end attention' (OEA) at the yard instead of the platforms. This can be confused for secondary maintenance.

If kilometer limit is to exceed after a single round trip, then probably S.M. is strictly implemented as much as possible, else if it is achieved over say 2 or more round trips, the limit maybe stretched to close to 4000 kms. for ICF Coaches and 4500 kms. for LHB Coaches.
Once a round trip is completed, then the rake gets primary maintenance anyways. So if a round trip is lesser than 3500km (ICF) or 4000km (LHB), then SM is not required.
If the round-trip is much lesser than 3500km, like for intercity trains, then the BPC is valid for 96 hours and trains can get PM anytime within that. So, intercities and other short distance trains, can get primary maintenance on every alternate day or once in three days, if the depot wants to avoid daily maintenance.
