Similar kind of situation exists here too in SWR Goa area. While I agree the delays we see in SECR are not prevalent here apart from JSME VSG express which is delayed in SECR itself. But here also the first priority is freight and most importantly imported coal such that even proposals for SCRs dedicated connectivity from Hyderabad to Goa are rejected and still 2 slip services are existing here from HYB/KCG to VSG. Even trains from VSG covering more than 2000 plus kms are running without Pantry cars and very few AC coaches inspite of sufficient WL in AC coaches justifying addition of more AC coaches. Tender for a second pitline was at VSG was floated in 2019 work started in 2020 and completion frame was around 8 months but even in 2022 RTI reply from SWR says it's under construction. more... VSG are always neglected by SWR. It took more than 15 long years since the introduction of YPR VSG express as biweekly for daily conversion inspite of both being in SWR itself and there were repeated demands to run it daily.
