This train was rarely meant for end however have seen lots of passengers in CSMT-Kottayam, CSMT-CGY sectors those who want direct option. Similarly for passengers from PGT this was the only direct train to Mumbai. Surprisingly it is a passenger association from Mumbai which is really demanding for restoration to Mumbai. Lots of passengers also used it as an overnite option from Mumbai to Tirupati as well. Of course with the given time slot if extended to Mumbai it will reach at odd time and in return direction not sure if CR will be able to keep train for more than 13-14 hours.
