SR runs 5 dedicated trains daily to TVC and 4 dedicated trains daily to Chennai from Mangalore. But runs zero train to Karnataka state capital Bangalore.
These many dedicated trains are not required between MAQ TVC or MAQ MAS. Why not divert one Chennai Mangalore train via shorter route? Will help passengers as well as railways.
12685 can start from...
more... MAS by 1620 reach KJM/ SMVB by 2230 and reach MAQ by 0720. 12686 can start at MAQ by 1300 reach SMVB/ KJM 2230 and reach MAS by 0600. 12685/86 have no RSA arrangements and hence can be made to run via Hassan.
North TN gets a train to Hassan/ Belur-Helebid, Kukke Subrrahmanya/ Dharmasthala. South Karnataka gets connection to Chennai, Vellore.
Win win for all.
please wait...Translate to EnglishHey, so SR is running 5 trains daily to TVC and 4 trains daily to Chennai from Mangalore. But damn, zero trains to Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Like, come on! We don't need that many trains between MAQ and TVC or MAQ and MAS. Why not change one Chennai-Mangalore train to take a shorter route? It would be a win-win for passengers and the railways, right? Like, think about it!
12685 could start from MAS at 4:20 PM, reach KJM/SMVB by 10:30 PM, and get to MAQ by 7:20 AM. Then, 12686 could start at MAQ by 1 PM, reach SMVB/KJM by 10:30 PM, and reach MAS by 6 AM. Oh, and these trains don't have any sort of shared arrangements, so they could totally go through Hassan.
In the end, North TN would get a train to Hassan/Belur-Helebid, Kukke Subrrahmanya/Dharmasthala, and South Karnataka would have a connection to Chennai and Vellore.
Total win win situation, right?
