If the govt actually sees it as just a service, then they shouldn't keep depending on the freaking budget every year. They should think about what the majority of the people want and not complain about losing money from GS and sl class, mmts or local trains. On the other hand, if they want to make money, then they should stop pretending to be all about social service and follow the DGCA/Aviation Industry model. In this case, politicians and rail officers with their fancy titles don't belong anywhere.

Par yeh kehkar agar sarkar sach me ise sirf ek service ke roop me consider karti hai, tab har saal ke budget me diye gaye funds ko ginte hue, saare policies aur decisions majority Populus ke concern ko dhyan me rakhte hue kiye jana chahiye; wo segment hai jo society me sabse jyada hain aur phir woh GS aur sl class, mmts ya local trains se ghatte revenue par rote nahi.
Dusri taraf, agar unko revenue based model pursue karna hai, toh wo social service ka dikhawa chhodkar DGCA/Aviation Industry model ko follow karna chahiye. Is realm me, neta aur rail officers wale cadre kisi bhi jagah ke liye suitable nahi hai.
