So basically these are just suggestions received over a period of time by the operating dept who have actually sent to all the mechanical divisions in SR seeking their feedback on feasibility. So this is not an approved list just a feasibility check. I guess many of them will get rejected since mechanical division also needs to check availability of pit line, stabling lines etc. Few things that I have heard from some railway source

more... time between PTJ-SRR section hence the suggested extension ends up taking a longer route via POY. Palani was also suggested is what I heard, but the facility for maintenance was not there. Its a fact that extension is not going to help passengers at all.
