CBE will get 2 VB. One at 0545, one at around 0900. For return, one VB at 1230, another at 1500. Also, Uday timings becomes better.

Less TAT makes the trains more punctual. What is the use of occupying platforms for 1-1/2 hours. Max 30 to 45 minutes should be sufficient.
When a long distance train (1800 kms run) NCJ CSMT with 20 coaches has a TAT of 1 hour 20 minutes at CSMT, why more than 45 minutes for an intercity train of 14 coaches? This DD/ UDAY has run just 360 kms from it's starting point.

SBC MAS and SBC CBE are evergreen routes. Always full.
Traffic is not an issue. Willingness by railways and "permission" from bus operators are issues.

NCJ CSMT (1880 Kms) has Platform Turnaround. Means gets cleaned at platform in one and half hours. Not shunted anywhere.
For Uday CBE 0630 SA 0845 KJM 1200 SBC 1230 is possible.

Better to split GTL into 2 divisions.
GTL for Andhra areas (south and east of Guntakal) and new KLBG division for GTL WADI / KLBG areas (Karnataka). If so, GTL can be in SCOR and KLBG in SCR.
Else, create Tirupati division for AP areas upto GTL. This can be in SCOR. GTL division can take care of Karnataka areas and part of GTL KCG route.If so, GTL can be in SCR.

My suggestion is not for creating state wise zones.
Hindupur/ SSPN upto DMM as well as few kilometers in and around Kuppam will be in SWR SBC division only.
Rayadurga will be in SWR UBL division only.

If GTL is in SCOR, it can create more issues for many trains. Say for example, SBC HYB or MAS HYB trains, now has to travel in 2 zones, it will become 3. More zones means more hurdles.

Reservation suspended for the train after Oct 2nd. All RSA trains reservation are also suspended. Likely to see some changes in TT but since RSA reservation is also suspended, its likely to still have RSA after LHBfication. Will the departure change to morning 06 AM from Charlapalli ? Have to wait and watch.....

One thing is for sure. SR is lazy and waste zone. Especially MAS and TVC , they don't want to maintain no train but keep their zones lol and I say this as SR railfan lol

Safari was running as HYD ERS. Subsequently, got extended to TVC initially thrice a week and finally all 7 days.
This train is meant for linking Hyderabad with Kerala. Till recently, it was going via Shorannur (for the benefit of north Kerala public). If it goes via SA KJM DMM, then this train has to deal with lazy SWR, who will hold the train at odd stations and create issues. So, train is running in SR SCR.

The name Island express was because it was running to Cochin terminus in Wellington Island. Though decades passed, the name is so popular till date.
Here also, SR gave the responsibility of running Island to SWR.

Just compare:
TVC SC in Sabari route (KTYM ERN CBE SA TPTY GNT) is 1555 kms.
TVC SC if a new train via ALLP SRR MAJN HAS CTA BAY RC is introduced, distance is exactly 1555 kms!!!
Distance can be covered in 28 to 29 hours end to end. Will SR SWR SCR agree for such a proposal??

Sorry. Kanyakumari is not an Island. This Island express was named after Wellington Island in Kochi.
Also Thiruvalluvar statue is a recent addition. This was not there 30 years ago

If a new train is introduced by SR with PM at NCJ, following are possibilities:
NCJ TVC CBE SA KJM DMM RC SC. Return in GNT TPTY KPD VM TPJ MDU TEN route.
Another rake in anti clockwise.
This way, entire TN and KL gets connected with Hyderabad.

This train should be made to run with LHB rake with RSA to Narayanadri SF express.

Train should leave TVC at 06:30 AM to arrive Lingampalli at 10:00 AM -- can leave as Narayanadri at evening at 17:00 PM to arrive at Tirupati around 05:00 AM and PM the whole day and the return train will leave TPTY around 18:00 PM to arrive Lingampalli at 06:00 AM to leave Lingampalli as Sabari express around 13:00 PM to arrive TVC at 16:30 PM with SC at TVC

For more than 3 decades, Sabari is the only train from Kerala to Hyderabad. Instead of rake transfer to SR etc, why can't we ask for a new TVC KCG daily SF via CBE KJM ATP KRNT from Southern Railway TVC division?
TVC 0430 ERS 0930 KJM 1900 KCG 0500.
KCG 0630 KJM 1630 ERS 0245 TVC 0700.

Why does SR always want to give away its trains to other zones? Dont they even have the capacity to run a dedicated train with their own rake to CAPE from MS? Its the passengers who will be affected if Island Exp is delayed.

What will SR try to achieve by delinking the rakes of PC and MS-CAPE? Pathetic to see the way the zone is functioning. They didnt even care to build a pitline at CAPE and decongest NCJ.

Let TVC get rid of all PM, or all its trains. No issues. But what made you to suggest that all Kerala trains should have PM at MAQ? What is the benefit for Karnataka city of Mangalore?
Let TVC find a new location in Kerala for providing maintenance of Kerala's enhanced connectivity.
MAQ is not a dump yard of Kerala trains. If you do not know the problems of MAQ, please refrain from commenting about MAQ. Limit your discussion to TVC/ Sabari etc only.
