The concept of covering up delay doesn't exist in Indian Railways. For some reason if your trains gets delayed initially, its over your trip is doomed. Section controllers will no longer consider your train. I started in New Delhi yesterday by Kerala Express, i couldn't get a ticket on Tatkal Scam Booking, yes definately its a scam. So i took a general ticket and was waiting to board AP Express but i was unaware of non existing general coaches in that train, there was only DL1 which i found on internet that its only for handicapped and ladies. Meanwhile Kerala had arrived on the platform, to my surprise i didn't see any crowd near general coach area, without any other thought i got into it and took my seat. AP departed at 8:05 PM and Kerala followed it at 8:15 PM. Till NZM both crawled and got delayed by 30...

mts already, Kerala crawled further more till Faridadad and got delayed by 40 mts. And then my train picked up speed and was going at good pace, i was expecting the delay would be covered up, but no, it went till Lalitpur and looped for series of overtakes, TN, Pushpak, Karnataka and one more train i couldn't see the name overtook us. It was stopped for quite some time before the first overtake happend and stopped for more time after the last overtake happend. Followed by these overtake it never ran at its top speed. Next day again it was looped for Yesvantpur Duronto after Bina and Nagpur VB somewhere in one of the ghat stations. These overtakes were not quick, it took atleast 20 mts for each overtake. Kerala was looped when these trains were miles behind. Meanwhile we started trailing Jaipur Mysuru all the way from Rani Kamalpati, we were stopping behind it where ever it stopped, but were not allowed to overtake. Delay kept on increasing to 4 hours. All thanks for Indian Railways. I donno how their controlling thing works but in my experience its very poor. Is it mandatory to stop a train which has limited stops and is slightly delayed ? Easily it can be covered up without effecting the trains running behind it. I have observed this so many times, making a train wait unnecessarily for 15-20 for another train to overtake and adding up more delay to it. Im so tired of this journey, i think for some time from now on i wont be taking any more train journeys. I can't trust a train's punctuality anymore. Anywhere a train can get delayed and to any longer the delay can go ЁЯЩП

Kerala express and TVC Rajdhani got completely spoiled due to the change in the TT from NDLS/NZM to TVC.

TVC mail used to leave NZM at 11 AM and arrive TVC at morning 05:30 ish , but now it has completely screwed up TT arriving TVC at 23:30 but always late and end up at 01:20 am midnight (monsoon is even worse)

Kerala on the other hand used to leave NDLS at 14:00 PM sharp to arrive TVC at 14:30 the third day, now it's like 20:30 to 22:30 (but always delayed heavily) to arrive at midnight 01:00 or 02:00.

I feel like Kerala should leave at Netravati timing at 09:30 AM from TVC to arrive NDLS at 09:00 (behind TN) and the return train should leave at 15:00 PM (before Telangana) to arrive TVC at 13:30 PM (that would make more sense). In that case, it can go to PM from 14:30 to next day 08:30 AM

Why does SR always want to give away its trains to other zones? Dont they even have the capacity to run a dedicated train with their own rake to CAPE from MS? Its the passengers who will be affected if Island Exp is delayed.

What will SR try to achieve by delinking the rakes of PC and MS-CAPE? Pathetic to see the way the zone is functioning. They didnt even care to build a pitline at CAPE and decongest NCJ.

Because they are nothing but lazy. SR especially MS/MAS div base has lost many prestigious train cause they do not want to handle it anymore mentioning they are saturated and will make a way for new trains. Some examples include MAS bangalore mail, mumbai mail, Howrah mail, mumbai express, TVC mail (now in cbe base), Cape express (used to MS base now and then made as SWR train and then TN base and now back to SWR). Boat mail, Ananthapuri gone out of MS base. God knows what I missed in this list. All these are good trains MAS/MS gave up to other base/zones.

I don't see anything wrong with Morning departure from Hyderabad except traffic. The sole purpose of the train is to cater Telengana to Kerala - So it makes sense to take all the pax from SC to Tenali during morning and either go in front of TVC mail or go behind TVC mail. Return at 14:00 Dep would make sense too o cover till PGT before night and reach CBE at 22:00ish but CBE is heavily rushed during the time so hardly they can stop for 3 mins at PF 3 before they could make the train leave immediately for other trains.

Mumbai Kolhpur if its CST maintanence it will mostly likely it will leave CST at 05:55 AM to reach Pune at 08:50 AM to leave Pune at 09:00 AM to reach Satara at 11:00 AM and Sangli at 13:00 , Miraj at 13:15 to reach KOP at 14:15 PM and return will depart at 15:00 PM to reach Miraj at 15:35 PM and Sangli at 15:55 PM and Satara at 17:55 PM , Pune at 20:00 PM to reach CST 23:15 PM.

I think they do not need to give 4 rakes. If Devagiri is speeded up and leave CST little around 16:00 PM and it can reach SC station around 10:00 ish and the same rake could leave at 13:00 or 14:00 PM - in that case it will only be two CR rakes.

Devagiri should leave CST at 18:30 PM and can reach 10:30 AM and return can leave at 13:30 PM to reach CST at 05:10 AM (can go for PM for 06:00 to 18:00) - this would give enough time for PM at CR CST or the only option is extend Ajanta to CST and make Devagiri have RSA with Ajanta (Like Hussainsagar and CST HYD SF exp)

If they do that , SCR can still maintain it and it will be like - Devagiri leaving SC around afternoon can reach Mumbai at morning and then leave as Ajanta and arrive SC at morning (After maintanence leave as Devagiri around afternoon)

Another set of rake: That leaves as Ajanta SF from SC towards CST can reach CST at late afternoon and leave at Night as Devagiri and reach SC at Afternoon and go for PM to leave as Ajanta at night

Not sure , cause I did not knew it started dedicated from Mumbai to Aurangabad initially until deepak mentioned. So it wont be good to change timing that would make it a midnight arrival at Aurangabad. I feel like early morning 4 am arrival is still good at Aurangabad but its all for the Sambaji nagar people. So Extending ajanta is one way to resolve issue or we have to wait and watch how Gowthami RSA looks like.

Or time change for Devagiri , if nothing happens then it need 3
