is there any official statement saying LGD is a pan India loco shed? if SCR has shortage and trains running with WAG's in their zone is a concern, why LGD has to send their WAP7's out then?

then, KYN has not received single allotments since ages now. LGD has atleast got some allotments to satisfy its own zone. Now i don't have any idea why LGD is not serving its own zone despite SCR has shortage of locos.

CR on some KR trains has started running with diesel locos which previously ran with atleast a WAG5. Even then, no allotment.

Also SCR themselves are facing locomotive shortage then why is LGD trying to serve other zones and not its own zone?

BRC. Despite of those sheds having WAP5 and fellow sheds of same zones having WAP4.

In this case KYN has WAP7's and the older WCAM's. WR has dumped their WCAM2's to CR and are happy. They send all their non hog WAP7 to TKD and got Hog WAP7 from them in return. Majority of CR trains that runs outside Mumbai Pune section are run with locos from BZA, LGD, BRC, GZB, RPM. Yes I have seen KYN WAP7 as offlinks to trains from other zones too. But not as doninent as WR trains running with majority of BRC WAP7, NFR trains run with home diesels SGUJ WDP's. SCR trains with home alcos MLY WDM, WDG.

Central railways is somewhere getting neglected I feel, no new WAP7 allotments despite of routes electrified recently. CR is transferring locos internally fro KYN, AJNI to PUNE. In the last batch of WAP7 produced, only 1 WAP7 was alloted to AJNI, while BRC is enjoying a bunch load of WAP7's.

No offense to WR fans out there guys, but like I said I may be wrong and I would love to understand what's wrong with my saying. For now this is what I believe.

shed or i should say the first locomotive shed of India has older generation locomotives till date and are fit to run inside specific jurisdiction. They have managed to use the Push-pull concepts, modifying their WCAM'S to work on AC current.

We see VATVA and RATLAM has started homing elocos effectively, but KALYAN DLS seems to be derating their locomotives and not getting any eloco of their own. Some of the fellow railfans say KYN ELS is not spacious enough to hold many WAP7'S, i feel KYN DLS should hold their WCAM'S and few WAG7's instead.

PUNE DLS have entered the needs of WAP7 too, yet we see CR is not getting enough of WAP7'S being built. The recent allotment list says it all, BRC is raining with WAP7'S.
