With Belagavi becoming first non Zonal HQ station of SWR in Karnataka getting full fledged maintenance facilities, can we expect more intra state trains and some useful trains to neighbouring states from BGM?

South bound trains should originate from bgm. ThereтАЩs no point in running a train towards north as it would not serve even 5% of SWR but rather be a CR territory serving train. Bgm-maq, bgm-tvc, bgm-mas, bgm- cape are good options.

Mangalore in Karnataka is unfortunately under SR how many trains does SR run towards interior Karnataka?? Zero . Belagavi needs better intrastate rail connectivity. North bound trains are running from sbc and ubl. There is no need for a separate train towards north. CRтАЩs Pune division doesnтАЩt have a single train towards bgm, ubl, dvg or hpt route.

Seperate train should also benefit people in SWR right. Better to start north bound trains from ubl and south bound from bgm. I assume ur thinking with respect to southern Maharashtra. Let pune division extend jhelum exp or azad hind exp to miraj /kolhapur.

I donтАЩt have any problem my friend. Why does south Maharashtra depend on SWR for north bound trains ? why dont they ask CR for trains? How many trains does CR run into ubl, gdg, hpt or dvg area except chalukya n gdg mumbai? When SWR has developed infrastructure in its territory it should first serve the home zone not CR or any other zone.

SWR always has been behind in providing in good intrastate services and that is the reason why most of the kannadigas get irked when the neighbors ask for train services with our cities as stations for PM best example would be mangalore, bidar or kalaburagi. I donтАЩt have much idea about udyan n ltt-cbe because i stay in dharwad and i travel between dwr-dvg-sbc mostly. Talking abt Chalukya, yes it was extended to pdy/ten but the delay in receiving and dispatching is based on SR ability to accommodate train in their network. So the blame is not totally on SWR.
Since mys-dwd has been extended to bgm. Bgm is connected to has. Rest of the routes dont have direct connection. ThatтАЩs totally SWR s fault.

I totally understand the frustration. Ubl-dr-ubl exp is painfully slow and undercoached(15 coaches). This train has waiting list throughout the year but thanks to shorter platform length at dadar it has been a 15 coacher. The train takes 15 hrs and runs as shadow train behind chalukya exp. All the trains to mumbai area are CR based and this pattern you can observe in trains from mas to mumbai area and even they are crawlers.

Dwr-mys PM has been shifted to bgm thanks to the new dedicated ubl-sbc train. I think in coming days dwr- mys may start from bgm.

All are crawlers. None of them are superfast. My point was why start a train from belagavi towards CR with out serving any majority of SWR. Instead start it from ubl.
Absolutely, can be extended to bay too and the majority of ubl div will get a connection to mumbai.

KarnatakaтАЩs intrastate rail network is poor. Most of our major cities are not connected to each other by rail. I want development of intrastate rail network. If you canтАЩt understand that then thats not my problem.
Thanks to Suresh Angadi sir we got lot of trains in his short tenure. Famous among them would be bgm sf, bjp-majn exp.

I think some VSG CDO train is getting LHB rake.
Spotted LHB rake parked at SVM railway station. Couldn't count or spot all the coaches as was on bike and some works going on the road so had to be extra careful. But there were Deen Dayalu, EOG multiple coaches and 3AC economy single coach at my end could not spot the remaining coaches.
It could be that these are Goa express coaches or indeed some other train getting LHBfied. I hope it's for 12741/42.

Believe me LHB will not do anything to improve speed of the train. ItтАЩs just upgradation of rake.

The bay- ubl is pathetically slow. I feel this train can speeded by more than an hr. Lot of slack between sc-gtl.
