Mumbai to RU/SA/CBE etc were connected daily by this train along with several intermediate stations as prime purpose of this train was never to serve E2E!!
RU daily connections are 3 MAS bound Mail/SF while CBE-LTT Exp is the only daily connect ex CBE which is bound to loose SL!!

12861 if extends KRNT then: KCG DEP 7:40, KRNT ARR 11:15 & must return at 14:30 PM to DEP KCG at 18:20!!
Tungbhardra Exp - KCG 7:50, KRNT 12:30 & KRNT DEP at 15:00!! No benefit of running concurrent trains when Tunga is SC-KRNT dedicated ICE & offers KRNT Link to KCG SF!!
You cant park two trains simultaneously and block 2 PFs at Station having 3 Pfs cap!! You can't move 2 Rake from PF to Yard/Branch/Loop & back to PF in 3 hours TAT!!

Why these remark pop up when some genuine bottleneck comes out? The start post points idle 12 hours capable for KRNT extension without considering Tunga schedule & limitations at 3 PF KRNT!!
Now this can happen & that can be twisted make no sense!! Tunga extension?? Where? Been ICE it can't!! And people should learn to stop when basic query/confusion gets eliminate/sort!!

Tunga dont have schedule for Dhone return!! KRNT-Dhone: 12:40-14:10 & Dhone-KRNT: 14:30-16:10!! Tunga DEP KRNT at 15:00!! Now please dont add schedule change gimmick!!

You can check how much time train takes KRNT-Dhone & still i gave less time!! Rake coming empty to start JSME/J has been new or existing trains not unusual extension which has no comparison logic with current blog where extension of VSKP-KCG shifted to Tungabhadra!!
There could be different purpose but with current scenario there is no chance of extension at KRNT which has been explained earlier!! The start blog mentioned: 12 hours idle at KCG can easily be utilized to extend KCG Exp at KRNT which turn untrue!!
No further debate exists as train's extension put with current scenario bye-passing other limitation!! Now if this or that happens...there is endless scope to fantasize!!

"Untrue" is very clear which turn this blog from VSKP-KCG extension to Tungabhadra extension & then JSME/J induction in debate!!
Loop doesn't matter as you cant park Rake to loop with 8.5-9 hours KCG-KRNT-KCG run for VSKP-KCG out of 10:55 hours TAT!!
So far, KRNT cant handle VSKP-KCG & Tungabhadra back to back as you can't loop VSKP-KCG & you need to address incoming Tungbhadra!!

All long distance train got huge TAT plus agitation is temporary!! Tunga extension/JSME/J came up with blog debate which you can read!!
Tunga still remain at PF1 & MTM I guess remain parked @ PF3 & so does Hundry) as PF2 is widely used at day time!!
If KRNT was easy, VSKP-MBNR SPL would be running till KRNT & it got huge Avlability in SL/3A!!

Journey Date: 21st October 2022.
Clicked a few pictures only as I've covered this train extensively in past.
1. This has good amount of Slack. Covered up 30 minutes delay in WCR, then accumulated same delay in just after entering NCR. This train had excellent 130 MPS speed in WCR. In NCR it rarely touched 130 after Agra especially after Mathura. Not that aggressive schedule in Agra Division. Reached 40 minutes late at Nizamuddin.

There was a time any booked WL get cleared through Rail Bhawan (40 or 250 WL doesnt matter)...but once has to call Secretary when 1 out of 2 got confirmed. Was told about heavy HO demand in Shramjeevi that day and 1 Berth was managed anyhow by telling Officer's brother are traveling!!
