Yes. This could be possible. Once Peralam - KIK line is completed, MS-KIK, LTT-KIK would be extended till VLNK. No need for Loco reversal at TVR and passengers can easily travel till VLNK without waiting for another train at NGT.

Already there are trains 16340, 16352 and Also Chalukya exp connecting South TN with Mumbai. That too they don't touch MS. Then, why they are demanding this extn.? This is literally a wrong request, instead they could have asked for a new train with new TT. Extending this 22159, will change the quota available for the people boarding from MS/MAS.

They should add 'Chennai' infront of Tambaram on the name board, so that people from North and other parts can easily identify it and to avoid confusions. 'Chennai Tambaram - New Delhi' would be more appropriate.

Instead of GT, either 12269 MAS NZM Duronto or 12611 MAS NZM Garib Rath can be considered for the extn till ASR, by giving stoppages in UMB, LDH, JUC, BEAS. Or else, they can consider for the SVDK. Definitely, Garib Rath will be a hit between NZM & ASR/NZM & SVDK, if extended. There is no single train connectivity b/w MAS & ASR and fastest connectivity b/w MAS & SVDK.

Do IR still manufactures HUMSAFAR Rakes ? If not Humsafar, AC SF Express would work still.
