Hope the route is also revised. In other words, swapped between Uday and Vande Bharat, so the former will be providing a proper intercity connection whereas the latter will provide a high speed connection in the faster route, truly serving it's purpose.
Then again, this vande bharat and Uday will be back to back right from Salem to coimbatore as per this?

Wrong selection of route whatever changes on TT it will not increase patronage in weekdays as it's over capacity in the route. You have ACC with 900 seating capacity and it's not being filled in weekdays why to add a premium train in the same direction.
Yesterday it seems there was some notification of the Double decker now approved to run all days of the week.
379 kms taking 6 hrs 25 mins @ 58 kph. Speed is at par with 12677/78. Wastage of a VB train

Yes, that needs to be checked if it could negotiate the sharp curves and ghats in that route.
With that previous stmt Arun bro had mentioned, even I agree to his point... the only thing to be done is 2 things:-
1. Perform 'n' number of trial runs and check the speed it can travel (with pax and without pax) (something like how metros do the trial when standing at a bridge with sacks of cement like how it happened for Namma Metro where girder was placed right above the Banaswadi-Hosur single line for testing purpose {{Link for reference:- click here }} )

Also, swapping any kind of trains is not that easy, I feel. I don't know if that happened before in the history of IR. Extension seems like a safe bet.
Route has not been swapped for two trains afaik but, yes many trains have had changed of its route, best example is 16339/40. IMO, Vande Bharat, which is intended for a high speed rail connectivity, can take up the faster route. Whereas DD/Uday can take proper intercity connectivity irrespective of the route for it having such a coach composition.
I agree, VB could've been planned better. At this point in terms of speed, it is just a regular train and not a premium one.

Extending to GUV is fine, but who is going to maintain the train in that case ?? GUV cannot maintain VB
IMO, better the route can be swapped between Uday and VB. Uday can maintain its present running time easily via DPJ HSRA, and it will fetch better patronage also enroute, as it already has. VB at the other end, can be made to run via ED SA TPT BWT KJM, making it faster than it is actually, and if it takes 5 - 5.5 hrs max, it will be a good deal for sure, and the patronage also improves a lot for vande bharat, being a faster option.
Well.. sooner or later GUV will have to maintain VB sets....
For now, this VB can run for 5 days a week between GUV and BNC and weekly between CBE BNC till PM facility is created at GUV.

Very much possible but care should be taken to ensure convenient travel time to passengers.
Yes that too should be ensured. A slot later than the slot of CBE MAS ICE could be chosen, after that, till the departure of mayiladuthurai JS, slot is available I believe.

It will likely get extended to Ernakulam only if its with SWR ; if its with SR SA division , its likely it cant be extended until or unless they can PM - And SA div wont agree to give it to TVC div
I agree with this. SWR might not agree due to single section gradient. Now its electrified double , SR trains could be extended inside KA. We definitely need train from Miraj to Kerala via Belagavi
Those days 11013 ran with an extra rake. 11013 used to arrive at 6:40am ( same time as now) and be stationed at CBE for almost 24 hrs. It used to leave at 5am next day. So even if train arrived late, it meant that there was lot of time available and it would still depart from CBE on time. Number of trains were much lesser so CBE did have space to park the train. I think sometimes it was also shunted and stabled at PTJ as well. To save one rake, they have now changed its time
MAQ-MAO can be extended to UBL ! it will surely be hit..

Thats so bad. Present standing time is horrible. I think it stands less than 2 hours now at CBE lol.
