MYS-SBC: 140 kms 3 hour journey. it is not long distance train (similar to KPD-MAS or VM-MS in TN)

more... longer route with 450 kms taking 13-1/2 hours and SL fare as Rs. 175. There are 3 SL coaches only. But Hampi exp runs in shorter route with 340 kms taking 7-1/2 hours and SL fare is Rs. 220. Even 'poor' person will like to pay addl Rs. 45 and travel in express.
Chikmagalur: There is only one day time passenger train. No other exp/ overnight trains.
Chikballapur: Just 70 kms. Just one train per day. No other express/ pass trains are there.
Kolar: Just 80 kms. Just one train per day. No other express/ pass trains are there.
There are no originating trains (Either exp or pass) from HAS, Mandya, Ramanagaram, Mangaluru, Haveri, Udupi, Shimoga, Davanagere, Ballari, Chitradurga, Gadag, Haveri, Belgaum, , Bijapur, Koppal, Raichur, Yadgir & Gulbarga.
Kolar & Chikkaballapur: Only 1 train (pass) per day.
Chamarajanagar: One dedicated train + one train to TPTY via SBC
Mangaluru: One weekly train which travels 800 kms via Kerala, Tamilnadu & AP to Karnataka. No use for end to end passengers.
Chikmagalur: Only 1 train (pass) per day.
Bagalkot: One daily train which travels via Maharashtra, Telengana, Andhra and back to Karnataka making it ulagam sutrum vaaliban. Not useful for anyone.
Bidar: One originating train at good timings + one passing train which runs at horrible timings.
Shimoga: 1 passenger + 1 ONT passing train + 2 day time express trains. Every 20 minutes, you have a KSRTC bus round the clock and trains are totally insufficient.
