One mode of transport cannot replace another so quickly. When lots of flights & smaller airports started there were expectations that lots of people will move away from train travel to flights. It did not happen. Similarly for SL class as well, if expectations are that people will migrate from SL to AC it is easier said than done. In many sectors if it just an overnight journey and only passengers need to sleep, I have observed many of them travelling in SL.
Jab sleeper rahenge hi nahi to kaha se passengers travel kar payenge. Forcefully AC classes me migrate karna hi padega.
