Clear example of how not to design.
YPR Hosur line on the outer periphery (Benniganahalli overhead line) could have been connected with a C or U link to SMVT, so that Hosur line gets connected to Yelahanka and KJM line (without loco reversal).
If this was made, trains could have moved from Hosur to Chennai or Salem to Hyderabad via SMVT DMM route.

GTL division is very big. Can be divided into two.
DMM to KLBG plus KLBG to Khanapur (478 kms) along with Raichur Gadwalb(57 kms), Krishna Devarakadra (66 kms) and Wadi to Vikarabad (113 kms) can be in GTL Division and be with SCR.
New Tirupati division can be carved from current GTL division - Katpadi to DMM, Pakala to Gudur, RU to GTL and other areas.

Waste of time, effort and resources. What could be the metro fare for 70 kms journey? Is it economical for daily travellers? Just making a statement to confuse public.
SWR is not able to show any progress in Karnataka specifically in and around Bangalore. Always they come out with excuses. Now they will tell that metro is coming to Tumkur and so we will not run local trains between Bangalore and Tumkur.

In SWR, we have many C U Z N and ? shaped routes. Check Basava, Gol Gumbaz, YPR MAQ weekly, KSK Via UBL GTL, Vishwamanava, MYS SNSI etc.

Another time buying tactics by railways. If local train link is established, then Ola Uber and BMTC Vayu Vajra AC buses will be in trouble. These agencies will ensure that railway line is always in progress without completion.
If Doddajala station is to be developed, why it was not done during doubling and electrification of Devanahalli line? Why sudden Gyan?
