SCR Initiatives to handle Extra Rush of passengers During Sankranti Festival season

South Central Railway (SCR) is operating 366 special trains in January 2025 to handle the increased passenger traffic during the Sankranti festival season. These trains connect various destinations, including Narsapur, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Machilipatnam, Tirupati, Berhampur, Jaipur, Gorakhpur, Cuttack, Madurai, Arsikere, Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Warangal, Shalimar, Sambalpur, Barauni, and more....

61 special trains, including 18 Jansadharan trains (all general coaches), operate from the new Charlapalli terminal in Hyderabad. The Vande Bharat Express (20707/20708) between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam now has 16 coaches (from January 13th, 2025), and the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (20833/20834) has been increased to 20 coaches. SCR has implemented several measures to manage the increased passenger traffic, including additional ticket counters, ATVM facilitators, 24/7 monitoring cells, deployment of officers at major stations, coordinated efforts with RPF to regulate passenger entry, frequent announcements, and passenger enquiry counters.

Shalimar, Sambalpur, Barauni, aur aur bhi kai jagah. Hyderabad ke naye Charlapalli terminal se 61 special trains chal rahi hain, jinmein 18 Jansadharan trains bhi hain (sab general coaches). Secunderabad aur Visakhapatnam ke beech Vande Bharat Express (20707/20708) mein ab 16 coaches hain (13 January 2025 se), aur Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (20833/20834) mein 20 coaches ho gaye hain. Zyada passenger traffic ko manage karne ke liye SCR ne kai measures liye hain, jaise ki extra ticket counters, ATVM facilitators, 24 ghante monitoring cells, officers ko bade stations pe deploy karna, RPF ke saath milkar passenger entry ko regulate karna, regular announcements, aur passenger enquiry counters.

20707 / 20708 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express to Run with 16 Coaches from 13th January, 2025

The Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (Train Nos. 20707/20708), launched on March 12, 2024, will increase its passenger capacity from 530 to 1128 starting January 13, 2025.
